Brew 60 ml of espresso using your preferred coffee maker and set it aside to cool slightly.
In a small saucepan, heat 120 ml of whole milk on medium heat until warm but not boiling.
Add 60 ml of fresh mandarin orange juice, 5 g of sugar, and 1 tsp of mandarin zest to the milk. Gently stir to combine and allow the flavors to meld for about 2-3 minutes. Do not let it boil.
Remove the milk mixture from heat and strain it through a fine mesh sieve to remove the zest.
