Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 packet Instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1.25 cups Warm water
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 cups Cooked shredded chicken
  • 1.5 cups Crushed tomatoes
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 Yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 0.5 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.

Step 2

Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.

Step 3

Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Step 4

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.

Step 5

While the dough is resting, prepare the toppings. In a medium skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, sliced bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms, cooking for 5-7 minutes until softened.

Step 6

Stir the crushed tomatoes into the skillet with the vegetables. Season the mixture with salt and red pepper flakes (if using), and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.

Step 7

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.

Step 8

Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to a sheet of parchment paper for easy handling.

Step 9

Spread the tomato and vegetable mixture evenly over the dough, leaving about 1 inch of crust around the edges.

Step 10

Arrange the shredded chicken over the sauce and top with mozzarella cheese.

Step 11

Carefully slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.

Step 12

Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 13

Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Step 14

Let the pizza cool for a couple of minutes, then slice and serve.
