  • 1 medium Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Brown sugar
  • 4 Brioche burger buns
  • 4 slices Cheese (such as Havarti or Brie)
  • 1 cup Arugula
  • 0.25 cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Prepared horseradish

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Cabernet Sauvignon, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix until just combined. Do not overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties approximately 3/4-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a shallow indentation in the center of each patty (this helps them cook evenly).

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced red onions and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
