  • 1 medium Yellow onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 1 head Green cabbage
  • 2 cups Cooked white rice
  • 28 ounces Crushed tomatoes
  • 15 ounces Tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with non-stick spray or a light layer of cooking oil.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into crumbles with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until fragrant and the onion becomes translucent, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Chop the head of cabbage into bite-sized chunks. Set aside.
