Ingredients

  • 14 oz smoked sausage
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 3 medium russet potatoes
  • 1 small head green cabbage
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Slice the smoked sausage into 1/4-inch rounds. Dice the onion. Peel and cube the potatoes into 1/2-inch pieces. Core and roughly chop the cabbage into large chunks. Mince the garlic cloves.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil and butter in a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat.

Add the smoked sausage to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
