Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾-inch thick. Press a small indentation into the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
