Ingredients

  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons Salted butter
  • 1.5 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 12 ounces Soft caramels
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream

Directions

Step 1

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, salted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until a thick, dough-like consistency forms.

Step 3

Using your hands, form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) from the peanut butter mixture and place them onto the prepared baking sheet. You should have approximately 24 balls. Chill them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up.

Step 4

While the peanut butter balls are chilling, unwrap the soft caramels and place them in a small saucepan along with the heavy cream.

Step 5

Melt the caramels over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Be careful not to overheat the caramel as it can harden.

Step 6

Remove the chilled peanut butter balls from the refrigerator. Using a fork or skewer, dip each ball into the melted caramel, ensuring it's evenly coated. Allow any excess caramel to drip off.

Step 7

Place the caramel-coated candies back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Let them cool at room temperature until the caramel firms up, about 10 minutes.

Step 8

Once set, store the candies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
