Ingredients

  • 1 piece Bread slice
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Cooking oil

Directions

Step 1

Using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass, cut a circular hole (approximately 2-3 inches in diameter) in the center of the slice of bread.

Step 2

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan evenly.

Step 3

Place the bread slice in the pan, then add the teaspoon of cooking oil inside the circular hole to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Carefully crack the egg into the hole in the bread without breaking the yolk. Let the egg cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until the bottom sets.

Step 5

Season the egg with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 6

Optional: Flip the bread gently to cook the other side for 1-2 minutes if a firmer yolk is desired, or leave it sunny-side up for a runny yolk.

Step 7

Once the egg is cooked to your preference, remove the bread and egg from the pan and serve immediately.

Step 8

Enjoy your delicious Bull's Eye Breakfast with a side of fruit, bacon, or hash browns if desired!
