Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cup Hot sauce (e.g. Frank's RedHot)
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Sour cream
  • 0.25 cup Blue cheese crumbles
  • 1 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp Garlic powder (for dip)
  • 0.25 tsp Salt (for dip)
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper (for dip)
  • 2 stalks Celery sticks
  • 2 carrots Carrot sticks

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.

Step 2

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving crispy wings.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the mixture until evenly coated.

Step 4

Arrange the wings on the wire rack, ensuring they do not touch each other. Bake for 40-50 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden and crispy.

Step 5

While the wings bake, make the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the hot sauce and honey and whisk until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 6

Prepare the blue cheese dip. In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, blue cheese crumbles, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 7

Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.

Step 8

Serve the buffalo wings hot with a side of blue cheese dip, celery sticks, and carrot sticks for dipping. Enjoy!
