Ingredients

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.25 cup Dried cranberries
  • 0.25 cup Walnuts
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Trim the Brussels sprouts by cutting off the stem ends and removing the outermost leaves. Carefully peel off the inner leaves until you reach the core. Discard the cores or save them for another use.

Step 2

Rinse the leaves in cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Set aside.

Step 3

Heat a dry skillet over medium heat and toast the walnuts for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and fragrant. Transfer the walnuts to a cutting board and roughly chop them. Set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
