Ingredients

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 stalks scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and fluff with a fork. Set aside.
