  • 2 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 ounces Fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 4 quarts Water
  • 1 tablespoon Salt (for pasta water)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven’s broiler and place the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.

Brush both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Place the chicken breasts on a broiler-safe pan and broil for 6-8 minutes on each side or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reads 165°F (74°C). Remove and set aside to rest.

Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and the fettuccine pasta. Cook according to the package instructions (about 10-12 minutes) until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the pasta, then set the pasta aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
