Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 pound Breakfast sausage
  • 8 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Butter or nonstick spray (for greasing)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray and set aside.

Step 2

Open the biscuit dough and evenly flatten the biscuits. Press them into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust, making sure they overlap slightly to cover the entire surface.

Step 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up into small crumbles with a wooden spoon, until fully cooked and browned. Drain excess grease and set the sausage aside.

Step 4

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Step 5

Sprinkle the cooked sausage evenly over the biscuit crust in the baking dish. Follow with 1.5 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese, distributing it evenly.

Step 6

Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese, ensuring it's evenly spread.

Step 7

Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the green onions over the top.

Step 8

Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set in the center and the top is golden brown.

Step 9

Remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 10

Enjoy your delicious Breakfast Casserole with a Biscuit Crust!
