Ingredients

  • 200 grams bread crumbs (fine)
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 150 grams unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 180 milliliters whole milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 10 grams powdered sugar (for garnish, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper for easier release.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread crumbs, all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon (if using), and salt. Mix well.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Step 4

Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring constantly to create a smooth batter without lumps.

Step 5

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Step 7

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 8

Once the cake is fully cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar for garnish if desired. Slice and serve.
