Ingredients

  • 30 pieces Chocolate sandwich cookies (e.g., Oreos)
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups Vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 4 cups Chocolate ice cream, softened
  • 1.5 cups Chocolate fudge topping
  • 2 cups Whipped topping
  • 0.5 cup Chocolate sprinkles

Directions

Step 1

Prepare the cookie crust: Using a food processor, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl and pour in the melted butter. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated and resemble wet sand.

Step 2

Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to create an even crust. Place the dish in the freezer for 15 minutes to set.

Step 3

While the crust is freezing, soften the ice cream. Let the vanilla and chocolate ice creams sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes until spreadable but not melted.

Step 4

Remove the crust from the freezer and spread the vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust layer using a spatula. Place the dish back in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to allow the vanilla layer to firm up.

Step 5

Next, spread the chocolate ice cream evenly over the vanilla layer. Return the dish to the freezer for at least 30 minutes to firm up both ice cream layers.

Step 6

Once the ice cream layers are set, pour the chocolate fudge topping evenly over the chocolate ice cream layer. Spread it smoothly. Place the dish in the freezer for another 20 minutes to firm up the fudge layer.

Step 7

Finally, spread the whipped topping evenly over the fudge layer. Add chocolate sprinkles as a decorative topping.

Step 8

Cover the dish with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze the cake for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set completely.

Step 9

When ready to serve, remove the cake from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes to make slicing easier. Cut into squares and enjoy!
