Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch Pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 cup Light corn syrup
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 1.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Bourbon
  • 0.75 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups Pecan halves
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9-inch pie pan by fitting it with your pie crust. Crimp the edges as desired, then set it aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs until slightly frothy. Add the melted butter, light corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, bourbon, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Step 3

Scatter the chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the prepared pie crust.

Step 4

Arrange the pecan halves over the chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution for a balanced pie.

Step 5

Carefully pour the filling mixture over the pecans and chocolate chips, being sure not to overflow the crust.

Step 6

Place the pie on the middle rack of the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until the filling is set around the edges but slightly jiggles in the center when shaken gently.

Step 7

Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack. This will help the filling set properly.

Step 8

Once completely cool, slice and serve as is or with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
