Ingredients

  • 150 grams Shredded coconut
  • 200 grams Sweetened condensed milk
  • 30 grams Powdered sugar
  • 200 grams Dark or milk chocolate (your preference)
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, and powdered sugar. Mix well using a spatula or your hands until the mixture forms a sticky dough.

Step 2

Scoop approximately 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture, placing each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should end up with about 20 balls.

Step 3

Freeze the coconut balls for 30 minutes to firm up. This will make them easier to dip in chocolate.

Step 4

While the coconut balls are chilling, melt the chocolate. Break the chocolate into pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Alternatively, melt the chocolate over a double boiler. If desired, stir in 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to thin the chocolate for easier dipping.

Step 5

Remove the coconut balls from the freezer. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Let any excess chocolate drip off and return the coated ball to the parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 6

Once all the balls are coated, return them to the fridge for 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

Step 7

Enjoy your homemade Bounty Balls straight from the fridge or at room temperature! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
