Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 2 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands or a spoon until all ingredients are just combined. Do not overmix to avoid a dense meatloaf.

Step 3

Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it on the prepared baking sheet, or transfer it into the prepared loaf pan. Gently press it into an even shape.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and yellow mustard to make the glaze.

Step 5

Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf using a spoon or small spatula.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the remaining glaze on top.

Step 7

Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Step 8

Allow the meatloaf to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
