Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar (for blueberries)
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces Cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 teaspoon Honey (optional, for garnish)
  • 4 leaves Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, combine the fresh blueberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat.

Step 2

Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries release their juices and start to soften. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Step 3

In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar using a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Continue to beat until the mixture is smooth, fluffy, and forms soft peaks. This is your French cream.

Step 5

To assemble the dessert, divide half of the blueberry mixture into 4 individual serving glasses or small bowls.

Step 6

Add a layer of the French cream on top of the blueberries in each glass, using half of the prepared cream.

Step 7

Repeat the layering process with the remaining blueberry mixture followed by the remaining French cream.

Step 8

Chill the assembled desserts in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.

Step 9

Before serving, optionally drizzle a tiny bit of honey on top for sweetness and garnish with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.
