Ingredients

  • 170 grams unsalted butter
  • 200 grams light brown sugar
  • 100 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 220 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 150 grams white chocolate chips
  • 100 grams optional mix-ins (e.g., chopped nuts, caramel bits, or toffee pieces)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat until fully liquefied, then remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and combined.

Step 4

Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and whisk until the mixture is glossy and well-blended.

Step 5

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients using a rubber spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Gently stir in the white chocolate chips and any optional mix-ins, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Step 7

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly to the edges with a spatula.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (do not overbake).

Step 9

Remove the pan from the oven and allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.

Step 10

Once cool, lift the blondies out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
