Directions

Step 1

Prepare the tri-tip by seasoning it with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Rub the seasoning evenly over the surface of the steak.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

While the grill is heating, slice the yellow onion thinly and mince the garlic cloves.
