  • 1 lb Pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 medium Yellow onion
  • 2 medium Jalapenos
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 6 leaves Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.

Slice the yellow onions thinly and set aside. Mince the garlic cloves and slice the jalapenos into thin rounds. Remove the jalapeno seeds if you prefer less heat.

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until caramelized. Add a pinch of salt and the minced garlic in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
