Ingredients

  • 280 grams All-purpose flour
  • 150 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Orange zest (from 1 large orange)
  • 60 grams Unsalted butter (melted and slightly cooled)
  • 100 grams Whole almonds (toasted and roughly chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Orange juice (freshly squeezed)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, orange zest, melted butter, and orange juice.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. The dough will be slightly sticky.
