Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 4

In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 5

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

Step 6

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 7

Using a 1/3 cup or large ice cream scoop, portion out the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving at least 3 inches of space between each ball of dough to allow for spreading.

Step 8

Gently flatten each ball of dough slightly with the palm of your hand.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 13-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look slightly underbaked.

Step 10

Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 11

Serve and enjoy your big, delicious cookies!
