Ingredients

  • 500 grams fresh beetroot
  • 1 large red onion
  • 250 ml red wine vinegar
  • 200 grams granulated sugar

  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 2 whole bay leaves

Directions

Step 1

Wash and peel the beetroot, then grate them using a box grater or a food processor's shredding disc.

Peel the red onion and finely chop it.

In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent.
