  • 300 grams Beef sirloin or flank steak
  • 200 grams Bean sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil (neutral, e.g., canola or vegetable)
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef against the grain into bite-sized strips.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 1 tablespoon of water. Mix well, then add the beef slices to marinate for 10 minutes.

While the beef marinates, wash and drain the bean sprouts. Mince the garlic cloves and chop the green onions into 1-inch pieces.

In another small bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 0.5 teaspoons of black pepper. Set aside.
