Ingredients

  • 500 grams beef sirloin
  • 4 pieces baguettes
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml fish sauce
  • 15 grams sugar
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 small daikon radish, julienned
  • 60 ml rice vinegar
  • 60 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 30 grams sugar for pickling
  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro
  • 1 pieces jalapeño slices
  • 80 grams mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef sirloin across the grain into strips.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and ground black pepper. Add the beef slices, mix well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, combine rice vinegar, water, salt, and sugar for pickling. Add the julienned carrot and daikon radish, and let them pickle for at least 20 minutes.
