Ingredients

  • 120 grams All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Salt
  • 115 grams Unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 150 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons Whole milk
  • 3 medium Apples (peeled, cored, and diced into 1/2-inch cubes)
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease and flour a 9-inch springform or round cake pan.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract and whole milk.

Step 5

Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Gently fold the diced apples into the batter until evenly distributed.

Step 7

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 9

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 10

If desired, dust the cake with powdered sugar before serving.
