Ingredients

  • 12 oz Elbow macaroni pasta
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 6 slices Bacon
  • 1 medium, diced Yellow onion
  • 2 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 cups, shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz, softened Cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp Chopped parsley (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Cook the macaroni pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Once cooled, crumble into small pieces and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add the vegetable oil (if needed) and sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until softened, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the skillet with the onions and garlic. Cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Step 5

Stir in the salt, pepper, and paprika. Then, add the barbecue sauce, ketchup, and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the cream cheese until melted and fully incorporated.

Step 7

Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, one handful at a time, stirring until smooth and creamy.

Step 8

Add the cooked macaroni pasta and crumbled bacon to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.

Step 9

Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy your BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Macaroni!
