Ingredients

  • 3.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2.25 teaspoons Instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1.25 cups Warm water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.75 cup Pizza sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.25 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoons Dried oregano

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly.

Step 2

Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix with a spoon until a rough dough forms.

Step 3

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5–6 minutes.

Step 4

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning it to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes or until doubled in size.

Step 5

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven during preheating.

Step 6

Punch down the risen dough and divide it into two equal portions if making two pizzas, or keep it whole for a single large pizza.

Step 7

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Step 8

Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving about half an inch of space around the edges for the crust.

Step 9

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 10

Optional: Sprinkle the dried oregano over the cheese for added flavor.

Step 11

Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.

Step 12

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.
