Ingredients

  • 2 pieces ripe banana
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and free of large lumps.

Step 2

Add the rolled oats, chopped walnuts, peanut butter, honey, ground cinnamon, and salt to the mashed bananas. If using chocolate chips, add them now as well.

Step 3

Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are evenly combined and form a slightly sticky dough.

Step 4

Using clean hands or a small cookie scoop, take a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used, making approximately 12 snacks.

Step 5

Place the Banana Nut Snacks on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Refrigerate the snacks for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
