Ingredients

  • 4 pieces whitefish fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large lemon
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Line a baking sheet or a shallow baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking.

Step 3

Pat the whitefish fillets dry with a paper towel and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4

Drizzle the fillets with olive oil, ensuring they are lightly coated on both sides.

Step 5

Zest half of the lemon and sprinkle the zest evenly over the fillets. Slice the remaining lemon into thin rounds and set aside.

Step 6

Finely mince the garlic cloves and scatter them over the fillets.

Step 7

Sprinkle the whitefish with diced fresh parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.

Step 8

Place the reserved lemon slices on top of the fillets for decoration and added flavor.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center.

Step 10

Remove the fish from the oven, let it rest for 2 minutes, and serve warm with your favorite side dishes.
