Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 0.75 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Olive oil or cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes until the breadcrumbs absorb the milk and become slightly softened.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, soaked breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands or a large spoon until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatballs tender.

Step 4

Using your hands or a scoop, form the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs (about the size of a ping-pong ball). Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and lightly browned on the outside. To ensure doneness, check that the internal temperature of the meatballs reaches 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer.

Step 6

Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. Serve immediately with your favorite pasta, marinara sauce, or as an appetizer with dipping sauces.
