Ingredients

  • 1 medium Ripe banana
  • 1 cup Baby oat cereal
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened applesauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth using a fork or potato masher.

Step 3

Add the baby oat cereal, all-purpose flour, coconut oil, applesauce, and ground cinnamon (if using) to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms. The dough should be soft but not sticky. If it's too sticky, add a little more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time.

Step 4

On a clean surface, lightly dust with additional flour. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness using a rolling pin.

Step 5

Cut the dough into desired shapes using cookie cutters, or cut into rectangles approximately 3 inches long to make bars.

Step 6

Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, leaving at least 1/2 inch of space between them.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are firm and lightly golden. The biscuits will harden further as they cool.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let the biscuits cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your baby.

Step 9

Store the biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Always supervise your baby while eating.
