Ingredients

  • 2 racks Baby back ribs
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1.5 cups Barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 roll Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs by sliding a knife under it, then grabbing it with a paper towel and pulling it off.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) to create a dry rub.

Step 4

Generously apply the dry rub to both sides of the ribs, pressing it into the meat to ensure it adheres.

Step 5

Place each rack of ribs on a large piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil (shiny side facing inward). Fold the edges of the foil up slightly to create a tray-like shape.

Step 6

Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to each foil packet, spreading it out near the ribs to help keep them moist during cooking.

Step 7

Wrap the foil tightly around the ribs, sealing the edges to create a secure packet. Place the foil-wrapped ribs onto a baking sheet, seam side up.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours, or until the ribs are tender and pull easily away from the bone.

Step 9

Carefully remove the ribs from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (204°C).

Step 10

Open the foil packets and brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce, covering both sides.

Step 11

Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes to caramelize the barbecue sauce.

Step 12

Remove the ribs from the oven, let them rest for 5 minutes, then slice between the bones for individual servings.

Step 13

Serve warm with additional barbecue sauce on the side if desired.
