Ingredients

  • 2 racks Baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups Barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs by carefully loosening it with a knife and peeling it off.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar.

Step 4

Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, making sure to coat them evenly.

Step 5

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another layer of foil, sealing the edges tightly to create a packet.

Step 6

Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours until they are tender and cooked through.

Step 7

While the ribs bake, prepare the barbecue glaze by combining the barbecue sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until well combined and slightly thickened. Set aside.

Step 8

After 2 1/2 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully open the foil packet. Drain any excess liquid.

Step 9

Brush the ribs generously with the barbecue glaze on both sides.

Step 10

For a caramelized finish, transfer the glazed ribs to a hot grill or place them under your oven's broiler for 5-7 minutes, turning once and brushing with additional glaze as needed.

Step 11

Remove the ribs from the grill or broiler and let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting into portions.

Step 12

Serve the ribs hot with any remaining barbecue glaze on the side.
