Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Graham crackers (crushed)
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted butter (melted)
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese (softened)
  • 0.75 cup Powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Kahlua liqueur
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 medium Apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 0.25 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Salted butter
  • 1 cup Whipped cream (for topping)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Ground nutmeg (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.

Step 2

Press the graham cracker mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch round pie dish or dessert pan. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to set.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Add the Kahlua liqueur to the cream cheese mixture and mix until fully incorporated.

Step 5

In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold the whipped cream gently into the cream cheese mixture to create a light filling.

Step 6

Spread the Kahlua and cream filling evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust. Return to the refrigerator to chill while preparing the apples.

Step 7

In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the salted butter. Add the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat and let the caramelized apples cool to room temperature.

Step 9

Once the apples have cooled, arrange them on top of the prepared Kahlua and cream filling.

Step 10

Just before serving, top the dessert with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground nutmeg for garnish.

Step 11

Serve chilled and enjoy!
