  • 1 package Puff pastry sheet
  • 3 medium Apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar
  • 25 grams Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook over medium heat until the apples are tender, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Add this slurry to the apple mixture and cook for another 2 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let it cool.
