Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Alaskan pollock fillets
  • 400 grams Broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Pat the Alaskan pollock fillets dry with a paper towel, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Step 3

Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Step 4

While the fish is baking, bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes, until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 5

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 6

Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, to form a roux.

Step 7

Gradually pour in the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Continue to whisk until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 8

Stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 9

Add the cooked broccoli florets to the cream sauce, stirring gently to coat them evenly.

Step 10

Once the fish is done baking, transfer the fillets onto serving plates and top with the broccoli cream sauce.

Step 11

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately while warm.
