Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken wings
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • 1.5 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Clean and pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels. Place them in a large mixing bowl.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, paprika, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, ground coriander, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to make the marinade.

Step 3

Pour the marinade over the chicken wings, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the wings marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for more intense flavor.

Step 4

Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C). If using an oven, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.

Step 5

Arrange the marinated chicken wings on the grill or prepared baking sheet. If grilling, cook over medium heat, turning frequently, for 20–25 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and slightly charred. If baking, cook in the oven for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and fully cooked.

Step 6

Remove the wings from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped cilantro (if using) and serve hot. These wings pair well with a side of cooling yogurt dipping sauce or a fresh salad.
