  • 2 medium carrots
  • 2 medium cucumbers
  • 5 pieces shallots
  • 2 pieces red chilies
  • 120 milliliters white vinegar
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 10 grams salt
  • 100 milliliters water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Directions

Step 1

Peel the carrots and cut them into thin sticks, about 2 inches long.

Halve the cucumbers lengthwise and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Cut the cucumber into similar-sized sticks as the carrots.

Peel and thinly slice the shallots.

Slice the red chilies into thin rings. Remove seeds if you prefer a milder flavor.
