  • 2 tablespoons Chopped pistachios (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a blender, combine the shelled pistachios and 1/2 cup of whole milk. Blend until smooth, creating a pistachio paste. Set aside.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining 1 1/2 cups of milk, heavy cream, and granulated sugar. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to steam, but do not let it boil.

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the pistachio paste. Whisk until fully incorporated and smooth.
