Ingredients

  • 4 medium Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 medium, finely chopped Onion
  • 1 finely chopped Green chili
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon or to taste Salt
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon, chopped Fresh coriander leaves

Directions

Step 1

Wash, peel, and dice the potatoes into small cubes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 3

Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Allow them to crackle.

Step 4

Add the chopped onion and green chili. Sauté until the onions become translucent.

Step 5

Mix in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Stir well.

Add the diced potatoes to the pan. Mix to coat the potatoes with the spices.

Sprinkle salt over the potatoes and stir to combine.
