Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White vinegar
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh chives (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan. Fill the pan with cold water, about an inch above the eggs. Bring the water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover the pan, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes to fully cook.

Step 3

After 10 minutes, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let them cool for at least 5 minutes. This will make them easier to peel.

Step 4

Peel the eggs carefully and slice them in half lengthwise. Gently remove the yolks and place them into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Arrange the hollowed egg whites on a serving platter.

Step 5

Using a fork, mash the yolks until they are finely crumbled. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix until the filling is smooth and creamy.

Step 6

Taste the filling and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add a pinch more salt or vinegar for tanginess, if desired.

Step 7

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the hollowed egg whites. A piping bag with a star tip can make the presentation fancier, but a spoon works just as well for a rustic look.

Step 8

Sprinkle the tops of the deviled eggs with paprika for color and flavor. Garnish with chopped chives, if using.

Step 9

Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours before serving. Enjoy!
