  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup peas (optional)

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, toss the beef stew meat with the flour until evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Add the beef in batches, searing each side until browned. Remove the meat and set aside.

Step 3

Dice the yellow onion and mince the garlic cloves. In the same pot, add the onion and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
