  • 1.5 lbs Chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (minced)
  • 2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 4 tbsp Butter (unsalted)
  • 1.5 cups Tomato puree
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro (chopped, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large bowl.

Step 2

In the bowl with chicken, add the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, 2 minced garlic cloves, ginger, cumin, turmeric, garam masala, and coriander powder. Mix well to coat the chicken pieces. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor.

Step 3

Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated chicken pieces (shaking off excess marinade) and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the chicken and set aside.
