Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Country-style pork ribs
  • 2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1.5 cups Barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup Chicken broth

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar to create a dry rub.

Step 3

Pat the pork ribs dry with paper towels, then rub the olive oil evenly over the ribs.

Step 4

Sprinkle the dry rub generously over the ribs, making sure to coat all sides evenly.

Step 5

In a large oven-safe baking dish or roasting pan, pour in the chicken broth to create a moist cooking environment.

Step 6

Place the seasoned ribs into the dish, ensuring they are not overcrowded.

Step 7

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 2.5 hours or until the ribs are tender and easily pull apart.

Step 8

After 2.5 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and carefully discard the foil. Brush the barbecue sauce generously over the ribs, coating them completely.

Step 9

Turn the oven to broil and return the ribs to the oven uncovered. Broil for 5-10 minutes or until the barbecue sauce becomes caramelized and slightly sticky.

Step 10

Carefully remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 11

Serve the ribs warm with your favorite side dishes, such as coleslaw, cornbread, or roasted vegetables.
