Ingredients

  • 8 lbs spiral-cut fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup honey
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Step 2

Place the ham cut-side down in a large roasting pan and pour the water into the bottom of the pan to keep the ham moist.

Step 3

Cover the ham tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 90 minutes.

Step 4

While the ham is baking, prepare the glaze. In a medium saucepan, combine the honey, brown sugar, unsalted butter, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves.

Step 5

Heat the glaze mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously, until the sugar has fully dissolved and the glaze is smooth. This should take about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 6

After the ham has baked for 90 minutes, remove it from the oven and carefully uncover.

Step 7

Brush a generous amount of the glaze all over the ham, making sure to get between the spiral-cut slices as much as possible.

Step 8

Return the glazed ham to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more glaze every 10 minutes for a rich, caramelized coating.

Step 9

Once the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Step 10

Transfer the ham to a serving platter, garnish as desired, and serve warm.
