Ingredients

  • 1 head Napa cabbage
  • 4 stalks Green onions
  • 0.5 cup Slivered almonds
  • 3 tablespoons Sesame seeds
  • 1 packet Ramen noodles (uncooked)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 0.25 cup Rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 0.25 cup Sesame oil
  • 0.25 cup Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the Napa cabbage and place it in a large bowl.

Step 2

Slice the green onions diagonally and add them to the cabbage.

Step 3

In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the slivered almonds and sesame seeds until golden brown, stirring frequently, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

Crumble the uncooked ramen noodles into small pieces and set aside the seasoning packet (it will not be used).

Step 5

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the crumbled ramen noodles. Sauté until golden brown and crispy, stirring often, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Step 6

In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and vegetable oil to make the dressing.

Step 7

Add the toasted almonds, sesame seeds, and crispy ramen noodles to the cabbage and green onions.

Step 8

Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to combine.

Step 9

Let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve immediately and enjoy!
