Ingredients

  • 500 grams Lean ground beef
  • 250 grams Lean ground pork
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 50 grams Almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 3 whole Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 500 milliliters Tomato sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork. Make sure they are evenly mixed for a consistent texture.

Step 3

Add the grated Parmesan cheese, eggs, almond flour, chopped parsley, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the meat mixture. Use your hands to thoroughly combine all ingredients.

Step 4

Form the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball. You should have roughly 16-18 meatballs.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches, if necessary, and brown them on all sides, which should take about 5 minutes total per batch.

Step 6

Once all the meatballs are browned, return them all to the skillet (if you removed them for browning in batches) and pour the tomato sauce over the top.

Step 7

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the meatballs in the sauce for 25-30 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Step 8

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with pasta, bread, or as a protein-packed snack!
